Velvet Revolver’s debut, ‘Contraband’, does not fit easily into one genre. Now signed to Velvet Revolver’s Virgin Records, the title track from second album “Contraband” leads Velvet Revolver’s back-to-school campaign. This disc has all of the essential Velvet Revolver classics. Contraband touched my soul like nothing else.
Velvet Revolver has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Illegal I Song - My least favorite song on this album. Spectacle is possibly the best song Velvet Revolver has come up. The song Fall To Pieces ending is my favorite… so catchy! Headspace is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Set Me Free is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. You Got No Right is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Velvet Revolver ever produced. Slither is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Music of Dirty Little Thing is gentle, never overbearing. Loving The Alien - A nice song. Bodies (Live) can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Velvet Revolver is all about.
