Now signed to UGK’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Underground Kingz (cd1)” leads UGK’s back-to-school campaign. This is the first studio album from UGK since bad diagnosis in 2007. Lead single “Swishas And Dosha” and “Int’l Players Anthem (I Choose You) Featuring Outkast” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
After few listenings I started to like Int’l Players Anthem (I Choose You) Featuring Outkast more and more. In Chrome Plated Woman you won’t find any flashy solos. I’ve found myself listening to Life Is 2009 Featuring Too $hort back to back and back many times. A great put together song. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Put Gravy into car stereo for your highway driving Nice and different song. Grind Hard Featuring Young T.O.E. And DJ B-Do - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. In Take Tha Hood Back Featuring Slim Thug, Vicious And Middle Fingaz the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Quit Hatin’ The South Featuring Charlie Wilson And Willie D (ShadyBlock.com) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Heaven (ShadyBlock.com) from the beginning to the end. Trill N****** Don T Die Featuring Z-Ro (ShadyBlock.com) is really the reason why I recommend buying Underground Kingz (cd1).
