This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Tim McGraw has. This is the first studio album from Tim McGraw since bad diagnosis in 2007. Since completing 2007’s ‘Comin’ Home’, Tim McGraw fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I wish that “Let It Go” album was instrumental.
Still going through Let It Go and coming to appreciate Shotgun Rider more and more with every listen. I Need You (4:09) - awsome. Train #10 is absolutely incredible. Song Nothin’ To Die For is actually a funny song. Between The River And Me is just simply stunning. Simple and heartfelt closing track Put Your Lovin’ On Me closes Let It Go on a high note. Kristofferson is a marvelous sing-along. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Suspicions is a very catchy tune. I’m Workin’ actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Tim McGraw’s face. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. I love the melodic melody of Last Dollar (Fly Away) and to this day it makes me feel good.
