Lead single “The Ripper” and “Pretty Handsome Awkward” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. On Lies for the Liars album, The Used have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. It has been five years The Used’ last studio CD, “Lies for the Liars” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Another great offering from The Used.
After few listenings I started to like Pretty Handsome Awkward more and more. The Bird And The Worm was the first single release from the album Lies for the Liars. Earthquake gets you up and jumping. Hospital - For me, this is the best of the album. Paralyzed (3:14) - awsome. With Me Tonight - another great track from the Lies for the Liars album. Wake The Dead has a fun tempo. I came to like Find A Way. Liar Liar [Burn In Hell] very upbeat. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
