After debuting at No. 1 last week, The Traveling Wilburys’s album Collection falls to No. 2 with 615,000, a sales slide of 88%. I am not a real Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Collection’ really is amazing. Now signed to The Traveling Wilburys’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Collection” leads The Traveling Wilburys’s back-to-school campaign. Collection touched my soul like nothing else.
Dirty World is a bit different from The Traveling Wilburys stereotypical stuff. Rattled - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Album opener Last Night is a bright, upbeat ditty. Vocals of The Traveling Wilburys in Not Alone Any More really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. After about the third Congratulations listen through, I began to believe this song is The Traveling Wilburys’s essence. Heading For The Light is possibly the best song The Traveling Wilburys has come up. Margarita - This one is lively and fun. Tweeter And The Monkey Man is worth the money. End Of The Line is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Like A Ship (Previously Unissued) (Bonus Track) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. She’s My Baby is a marvelous song and it grows on you. Some of the arrangements found on Collection are surprisingly edgy. If You Belonged To Me is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. The Devil’s Been Busy defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. 7 Deadly Sins one of the best in my collection. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Poor House because the melody in the chorus is so good. Collection couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Where Were You Last Night?. Cool Dry Place is a striking and quite long song. New Blue Moon is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Wilbury Twist is the amazing blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. The song feels complete. All of songs on Collection and have something to say letting alone Runaway (Bonus Track).
