Strange Days is really the reason why I recommend buying The Very Best of the Doors. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) because the melody in the chorus is so good. Love Me Tow Times is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. I like to sing along with Light My Fire, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Spanish Caravan is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The Crystal Ship is probably the most interesting track on The Very Best of the Doors. The Unknown Soldier - To me, this is the best song on the The Very Best of the Doors. The End is a strong cut, one of many. A unique and uplifting song. It’s such an underrated song. Moonlight Drive is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. End of the Night - The Doors first major hit. Five to One is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. When the Music’s Over is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. The Doors has astounded me with this amazing track. This song may be the most meaningful. Riders on the Storm (40th Anniversary Mix by Bruce Botnick) without a doubt is the standout song of The Very Best of the Doors. Orange County Suite (40th Anniversary Mix by Bruce Botnick) as a highlight of The Very Best of the Doors contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Hello, I Love You is the funkiest number on the album. Such hits like The WASP (Texas Radio and the Big Beat) (40th Anniversary Mix by Bruce Botnick) will leave you hooked. The Doors sings his heart out in Stoned Immaculate. I find myself hearing bits of Soul Kichen here and there throughout my waking hours. Peace Frog is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. I hope to keep hearing The Doors works for a long time to come. Touch Me is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The Changeling (40th Anniversary Mix by Bruce Botnick) is nothing but pure genius. Wishful Sinful gives taste of what makes The Doors special as a musician.
