When you buy a Tegan and Sara album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Tegan and Sara’s debut, ‘The Con’, does not fit easily into one genre. There is no doubt that Tegan and Sara has talent. This is what good Rock should be.
Relief Next To Me one of the best in my collection. In The Con the music gets its power. Within the first few notes of Like O, Like H it’s perfectly clear that Tegan and Sara is living this song. The song Are You Ten Years Ago ending is my favorite… so catchy! Back In Your Head is simply gorgeous. Hop A Plane is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Soil, Soil, which shows, blatantly, how much Tegan and Sara has evolved as a singer. You can find feelings on this piece of art. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Nice and different song. Knife Going In (2:42) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Dark Come Soon (3:09) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Call It Off is perfect.
