Greatest Hits is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Shania Twain’s new album to that on ‘Greatest Hits’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Since Shania Twain last CD (Greatest Hits) on Capitol Records back in 2004, I have felt a massive void in my life. Exciting stuff.
This song is dynamic and dramatic. Up! is another favourite of mine. Come On Over one of the best in my collection. Man! I Feel Like A Woman! is a striking and quite long song. That Don’t Impress Me Much is simple, dignified and effective, Shania Twain refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This track is clearly meant to showcase Shania Twain’s vocal abilities. Only one song from Greatest Hits named Honey, I’m Home really got me. You’re Still The One which is my favorite is a truly Shania Twain sounding song. Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You) - I just love it. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. No One Needs To Know as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Excellent vocals and musical performances. All of songs on Greatest Hits and have something to say letting alone (If You’re Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here!. The Woman In Me (Needs The Man In You) good vocals. There is perfect mix of music in Any Man Of Mine. Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? - For me, this is the best of the album. From the moment you listen to Party For Two (with Mark McGrath) you’re hooked. I came to like Don’t!. Party For Two (with Billy Currington) make listening to Shania Twain like being in some sort of time warp. I Ain’t No Quitter is the song that really did it for me.
