On Release the Stars album, Rufus Wainwright have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. eleven years ago, Rufus Wainwright briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Going To A Town”. Release the Stars carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Enjoy the show.
I find myself hearing bits of Going To A Town here and there throughout my waking hours. Tiergarten - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Nobody’s Off The Hook is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Between My Legs one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. I can’t stop humming along Rules And Regulations. You have to get essence of the Not Ready To Love’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Slideshow is a very catchy tune. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Tulsa. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Release the Stars. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Release The Stars - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
