Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Rise Against on ‘Chamber The Cartridge’. Rise Against’s debut, ‘The Sufferer and The Witness’, does not fit easily into one genre. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Rise Against’s new album to that on ‘The Sufferer and The Witness’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. If I may, I suggest “Chamber The Cartridge”. That one song is amazing!
Injection is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Ready To Fall is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Sufferer and The Witness. Bricks is absolutely incredible. When I listen to Under The Knife in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Prayer Of The Refugee makes a person feel cool. After few listenings I started to like Drones more and more. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with The Approaching Curve. Worth Dying For - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Nice and different song. Roadside - A classic Rise Against track. Album opener The Good Left Undone is a bright, upbeat ditty. Strong, powerful vocals of Rise Against in Survive are very impressive.
