It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Radiohead energies, virtually a rebirth. This is the first studio album from Radiohead since bad diagnosis in 1995. Since Radiohead last CD (The Bends) on ForeFront Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. The Bends is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
The Bends couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track The Bends. High and Dry had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Fake Plastic Trees actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Radiohead’s face. Bones is one of the more up-tempo songs on The Bends. Nice Dream is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Just presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on The Bends. My Iron Lung - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Some of the arrangements found on The Bends are surprisingly edgy. Black Star motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Sulk (3:43) a good melody. Street Spirit ‘Fade Out’ is simply gorgeous.
