There is so much to love about Pearl Jam, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Self-described as Alternative with lots of words, Pearl Jam comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It’s natural for Pearl Jam to take a stab at ‘Black’ considering her long-professed love for Azymuth. This is my first Pearl Jam Album and i must say i am blown away.
This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Pearl Jam offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Immortality is absolutely incredible. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Better Man. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I can’t stop humming along Off He Goes. Once Given To Fly gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. I was truly moved when I heard Wishlist. Last Kiss is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Rearviewmirror: Greatest Hits 1991-2003 (CD 2) have ended. Nothing As It Seems is nothing but pure genius. Such hits like Light Years will leave you hooked. I Am Mine is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Pearl Jam released so far. Lyrics of Man Of The Hour are precise and evocative. Yellow Ledbetter stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty.
