I am not a real Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Essential Paul Simon (cd1)’ really is amazing. The Essential Paul Simon (cd1) is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Self-described as Rock with lots of words, Paul Simon comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Loves Me Like A Rock gives good insight into the truths. Me And Julio Down By The School Yard as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Voice and instruments in Duncan complement each other. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Overall a nice softer song. A unique and uplifting song. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Something So Right - A nice song. Best song on the album, love it. Hearts And Bones gets you up and jumping. Take Me To The Mardi Gras is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after The Essential Paul Simon (cd1) have ended. That Was Your Mother is just simply stunning. American Tune one of the best in my collection. Peace Like A River to me is the best you can get from Paul Simon. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Essential Paul Simon (cd1) is Stranded In A Limousine. Get The Essential Paul Simon (cd1) and turn on Train In The Distance if you are going to sip your wine late at night. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Still Crazy After All These Years - A strong beat.
