Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Oasis’s new album to that on ‘Noel Live at Koko, Camden 2-11-2006′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This album has some very good songs like Intro and (It’s Good) To Be Free. For older fans Noel Live at Koko, Camden 2-11-2006 will put a massive smile accross your face. This album is in perfect progression from Oasis!
I find myself hearing bits of (It’s Good) To Be Free here and there throughout my waking hours. I came to like Talk Tonight. Fade Away is possibly the best song Oasis has come up. Cast No Shadow has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Oasis’s strong vocals come to the fore. The Importance Of Being Idle is another strong production from Oasis. This track is full of harmonies and gets Noel Live at Koko, Camden 2-11-2006 off to a relaxing start. Thick As Thieves (With Paul Weller) gives taste of what makes Oasis special as a musician. Blew our minds when we first heard Wonderwall. Half The World Away catches attention immediately, Slide Away is pretty funky and mellow. I was truly moved when I heard Strawberry Fields Forever. Strawberry Fields Forever2 - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Oasis.
