When you buy a Nirvana album, you know exactly what you’re getting! It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Nirvana energies, virtually a rebirth. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Nirvana’s new album to that on ‘Nevermind’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Another great offering from Nirvana.
In In Bloom the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Come As You Are is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Nirvana ever produced. I love the melodic melody of Breed and to this day it makes me feel good. Lithium hits the heart. In Polly Nirvana is at his best. All of songs on Nevermind and have something to say letting alone Territorial Pissings. In Drain You it becomes nowhere more obvious that Nirvana has yet to define own style. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Lounge Act. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Stay Away. What sets On A Plain apart is Nirvana’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. In Something In The Way Nirvana spins a tale you want to hear to the end.
