Self-described as ROck: Alternative with lots of words, Nickelback comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. five years ago, Nickelback briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Hangnail”. It’s natural for Nickelback to take a stab at ‘Good Times Gone’ considering her long-professed love for Babylon Zoo. This is my first Nickelback Album and i must say i am blown away.
Some call Hangnail from Silver Side Up as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Blew our minds when we first heard Where Do I Hide. Look What Your Money Bought presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on Silver Side Up. Lyrics of Hollywood are precise and evocative. Just For is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Silver Side Up have ended. Too Bad is one of my favorite songs by Nickelback. The sound of Woke Up This Morning is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. How You Remind Me is nothing but pure genius. After you’ve listened to Never Again, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
