After seeing On The Way Home, I had to have a good Neil Young cd. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Neil Young energies, virtually a rebirth. There is so much to love about Neil Young, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Live at Massey Hall constantly brilliant.
Tell Me Why (2:29) - awsome. Old Man is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Musically Journey Through The Past is superior to other tracks in Live at Massey Hall. In Helpless the music gets its power. Love In Mind is a great opener for Live at Massey Hall. A Man Needs a Maid/Heart Of Gold Suite is a striking and quite long song. Cowgirl In The Sand - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Vocals of Neil Young in Don’t Let It Bring You Down really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. There’s A World was the first single release from the album Live at Massey Hall. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Within the first few notes of The Needle And The Damage Done it’s perfectly clear that Neil Young is living this song. Ohio gets you up and jumping. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Down By The River is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Dance Dance Dance is one of the best records ever. Overall a nice softer song.
