Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Modest Mouse on ‘March Into The Sea’. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Modest Mouse has. Modest Mouse’s debut, ‘We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank’, does not fit easily into one genre. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.
Dashboard is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Fire It Up - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Parting Of The Sensory is Modest Mouse’s best work in years. Missed The Boat is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. It’s such an underrated song. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank is Education. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Spitting VenomSpitting Venom is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Modest Mouse ever produced. People As Places As People marked the continuation of Modest Mouse in style evolution. The song Invisible ending is my favorite… so catchy!
