There is so much to love about Mariah Carey, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Mariah Carey. Mariah Carey’s debut, ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album is a scorcher!
We Belong Together is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Mariah Carey released so far. Mariah Carey emotions are reflected through Shake It Off. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Mine Again from the beginning to the end. Say Somethin’ - Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Get Your Number - Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. One and Only - Mariah Carey, Twista the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Although Circles is very melodic it is far from sad. Your Girl sets the tone for the entire album. I Wish You Knew is one of the coolest songs Mariah Carey has ever recorded. To the Floor - Mariah Carey, Nelly - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This song stands out greatly from the others. Simple and heartfelt closing track Fly Like a Bird closes The Emancipation of Mimi on a high note. Don’t Forget About Us - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Makin’ It Last All Night (What It Do) - Mariah Carey, Jermaine Dupri - I like this one. So Lonely (One & Only, Pt. 2) - Mariah Carey, Twista on The Emancipation of Mimi is solid and easy to listen to. We Belong Together (Remix) - Mariah Carey, Jadakiss, Styles P, is another favourite of mine.
