Lead single “Clenching The Fists Of Dissent” and “Aesthetics Of Hate” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Machine Head energies, virtually a rebirth. The Blackening is an amazing album, racked with beauty.One of Machine Head’s best albums yet.
This is one hell of a track. Blew our minds when we first heard Beautiful Mourning. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Now I Lay Thee Down. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. I like the agression and power of Wolves. Halo is almost impossible to review. Farewell To Arms - Okay, I just talked about depth.
