After debuting at No. 1 last week, Kenny Chesney’s album Just Who I Am: Poets And Pirates falls to No. 2 with 582,000, a sales slide of 60%. It has been thirteen years Kenny Chesney’ last studio CD, “Just Who I Am: Poets And Pirates” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. For older fans Just Who I Am: Poets And Pirates will put a massive smile accross your face. To me Kenny Chesney is the best band ever.
Don’t Blink is the song that really did it for me. Shiftwork (Duet With George Strait) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. As always, Kenny Chesney’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Wife And Kids has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Kenny Chesney’s strong vocals come to the fore. Lyrics of Got A Little Crazy are precise and evocative. Better As A Memory is simple, dignified and effective, Kenny Chesney refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Strong, powerful vocals of Kenny Chesney in Dancin’ For The Groceries are very impressive. Voice of Kenny Chesney in Wild Ride (Featuring Joe Walsh) is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. The song feels complete. In Demons full palet of sound is used by Kenny Chesney to accentuate the presentation.
