Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Jay-Z on ‘The Prelude’. Kingdom Come is an amazing album, racked with beauty. This album has some very good songs like The Prelude and Oh My God. This is what good Rap: Hip-Hop should be.
One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Oh My God. Opening track Kingdom Come shows the best of Jay-Z. Lyrics of Show Me What You Got are precise and evocative. Lost One featuring Chrisette Michele - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Do U Wanna Ride featuring John Legend is the song that really did it for me. It’s such an underrated song. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. In Anything featuring Usher & Pharrell Jay-Z spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Hollywood featuring Beyonce - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Jay-Z. Jay-Z is hitting on all cylinders in Trouble. Dig A Hole featuring Sterling Simms - A catchy, upbeat tune. The song Minority Report featuring Ne-Yo ending is my favorite… so catchy! Beach Chair featuring Chris Martin is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Politics As Usual great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.I like the agression and power of Can’t Knock The Hustle. Can I Live - Check out that bassline!
