It has been sixteen years Hellyeah’ last studio CD, “Hellyeah” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. On Hellyeah album, Hellyeah have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This album has some very good songs like Hellyeah and You Wouldn’t Know. If you love Hellyeah as much as I do, then Hellyeah Hellyeah is the CD for you!
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think You Wouldn’t Know is my favorite song on Hellyeah. Matter Of Time is possibly the best song Hellyeah has come up. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Alcohaulin’ Ass marked the continuation of Hellyeah in style evolution. GodDamn is another favourite of mine. In The Mood - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Star motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Lyrics of Rotten To The Core are precise and evocative. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Nausea is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Hellyeah.
