Twenty Five: Deluxe Edition is the best essence of George Michael.
George Michael offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Freedom to me is the best you can get from George Michael. In Faith it becomes nowhere more obvious that George Michael has yet to define own style. Too Funky - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Twenty Five: Deluxe Edition. Freedom ‘90 defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Spinning the Wheel is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. George Michael emotions are reflected through Outside. The opening track As (with Mary J. Blige) is very much like you would expect from other albums. Music and lyrics of Freeek! creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Shoot The Dog - My least favorite song on this album. I loved Amazing the first time I heard it. Excellent vocals and musical performances. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Some of the arrangements found on Twenty Five: Deluxe Edition are surprisingly edgy. I like to sing along with Last Christmas, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. A Different Corner is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Father Figure is another favourite of mine. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Praying For Time is simply marvelous. Heal The Pain (with Sir Paul McCartney) - George Michael first major hit. First time I heard Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me (with Sir Elton John) was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Jesus To A Child is a striking and quite long song. I now have Older as one of my personal favorites. Overall a nice softer song. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. John and Elvis Are Dead is simple, dignified and effective, George Michael refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This Is Not Real Love (with Mutya) very upbeat. Understand is probably the most interesting track on Twenty Five: Deluxe Edition. Precious box is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Roxanne is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Fantasy - A strong beat. I can’t stop humming along Cars and Trains. Patience is the song that really did it for me. You Know that I Want To is absolutely incredible. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: If You Were There, which shows, blatantly, how much George Michael has evolved as a singer. Safe is probably the highlight of the album. American Angel is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. When listening to My Baby Just Cares For Me, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Twenty Five: Deluxe Edition. Please Send Me Someone (Anselmo’s Song) is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. George Michael has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving.
