Since Funeral For A Friend last CD (Tales Don’t Tell Themselves) on Blue Note Records back in 2007, I have felt a massive void in my life. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Funeral For A Friend. While no new Funeral For A Friend album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2007 tour in North America. Check it every song is worth the money for the Tales Don’t Tell Themselves CD!
Great Wide Open on Tales Don’t Tell Themselves is solid and easy to listen to. Once Diary gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. It’s such an underrated song. All Hands on Deck, Pt. 1: Raise the Sail - Check out that bassline! Still going through Tales Don’t Tell Themselves and coming to appreciate All Hands on Deck, Pt. 2: Open Water more and more with every listen. I find myself hearing bits of Out of Reach here and there throughout my waking hours. One for the Road is simply exquisite. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Funeral For A Friend breathes new life into the music in Sweetest Wave.
