This is one of the best Cd’s Foreigner has dropped to date. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Foreigner’s album Foreigner - Complete Greatest Hits falls to No. 2 with 793,000, a sales slide of 83%. Since Foreigner last CD (Foreigner - Complete Greatest Hits) on Blue Note Records back in 2002, I have felt a massive void in my life. Smart music for smart people.
Foreigner allows each song to breathe and flourish. Long, Long Way From Home is a exquisite sing-along. Headknocker - Okay, I just talked about depth. Hot Blooded great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Double Vision is probably the highlight of the album. Blue Morning, Blue Day is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. First time I heard Dirty White Boy was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Head Games is a bit of a show-tune. Women - A nice song. Girl on the Moon is one of the coolest songs Foreigner has ever recorded. Urgent is one of the more up-tempo songs on Foreigner - Complete Greatest Hits. Waiting for a Girl Like You - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The first time I listened to I Want to Know What Love Is I was struck by its gorgeous sound. Foreigner must have run out of lyrics on the next track That Was Yesterday. Foreigner has astounded me with this amazing track. I Don’t Want to Live Without You is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Say You Will is a striking and quite long song. In Soul Doctor Foreigner is at his best.
