Since completing 1997’s ‘Doll’, Foo Fighters fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Self-described as Pop: Pop-Rock with lots of words, Foo Fighters comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Foo Fighters had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Monkey Wrench is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Hey, Johnny Park! stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. My Poor Brain gets you up and jumping. Wind Up - arguably the best track on The Colour and The Shape album. Up In Arms is Foo Fighters’s best work in years. My Hero is a gorgeous sing-along. Vocals of Foo Fighters in See You really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Enough Space - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. February Stars - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Everlong is one of the best records ever. Walking After You had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Simple and heartfelt closing track New Way Home closes The Colour and The Shape on a high note.
