After seeing Sunshine & Summertime, I had to have a good Faith Hill cd. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Faith Hill energies, virtually a rebirth. Since Faith Hill last CD (Fireflies) on ForeFront Records back in 2007, I have felt a massive void in my life. One of Faith Hill’s best albums yet.
Music of Mississippi Girl is gentle, never overbearing. Dearly Beloved is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Ain’t Gonna Take It great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Faith Hill breathes new life into the music in Stealing Kisses. Fireflies - A nice song. This track is clearly meant to showcase Faith Hill’s vocal abilities. I like to sing along with I Want You, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. In Lucky One full palet of sound is used by Faith Hill to accentuate the presentation. Faith Hill offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Faith Hill must have run out of lyrics on the next track We’ve Got Nothing But Love To Prove. Listening to You Stay With Me you can hear that Faith Hill has still amazing chemistry with band members. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Paris - Well, here we get a bit more meaning.
