This album has some very good songs like That’s All Right and Baby, Let’s Play House. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Elvis Presley on ‘That’s All Right’. It’s natural for Elvis Presley to take a stab at ‘That’s All Right’ considering her long-professed love for Led Zeppelin. I wish that “Essential Elvis Presley” album was instrumental.
Baby, Let’s Play House - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Mystery Train is a excellent sing-along. Heartbreak Hotel one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. I Was the One - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Blue Suede Shoes is a very catchy tune. Hound Dog is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. I came to like Don’t Be Cruel. Love Me Tender to me is the best you can get from Elvis Presley. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. (There’ll Be) Peace in the Valley (For Me is cool work of Elvis Presley. Jailhouse Rock I just LOVE this mix! Best song on the album, love it. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. It’s Now or Never is astounding song though, very addictive. Reconsider Baby is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Are You Lonesome Tonight? motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Little Sister is worth the money. Follow That Dream - a classic song. Can’t Help Falling in Love was the first single release from the album Essential Elvis Presley. Return to Sender is simply excellent. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think (You’re The) Devil in Disguise is my favorite song on Essential Elvis Presley. I can’t stop humming along Bossa Nova Baby. Viva Las Vegas as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Such hits like Big Boss Man will leave you hooked. Little Less Conversation is outstanding work of Elvis Presley. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Memories catches attention immediately, In the Ghetto sets the tone for the entire album. I loved Suspicious Minds the first time I heard it. Don’t Cry Daddy has a fun tempo. Kentucky Rain is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Polk Salad Annie is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Voice and instruments in Wonder of You complement each other. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Burning Love (2:58) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Opening track Always on My Mind shows the best of Elvis Presley. I was truly moved when I heard Steamroller Blues. Hurt is another favourite of mine. Moody Blue is a bit different from Elvis Presley stereotypical stuff.
