After debuting at No. 1 last week, Elton John’s album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road falls to No. 2 with 600,000, a sales slide of 73%. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Elton John energies, virtually a rebirth. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Elton John on ‘Funeral For A Friend (Love Lies Bleeding)’. IT makes me wanna dance!
Candle In The Wind is the funkiest number on the album. Bennie and The Jets had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Elton John rocks harder than ever with This Song Has No Title. Grey Seal is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Jamaica Jerk-Off is another strong production from Elton John. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Sweet Painted Lady is excellent work of Elton John. I hope to keep hearing Elton John works for a long time to come. Dirty Little Girl is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Vocals of Elton John in All The Girls Love Alice really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Your Sister Can’t Twist (But She Can Rock ‘n Roll) very upbeat. Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting to me is the best you can get from Elton John. Roy Rogers - A catchy, upbeat tune. Social Disease - I just love it. I like the idea behind Harmony.
