Elo was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Elo and All Over The World: The Very Best Of together. Lead single “Mr. Blue Sky” and “Evil Woman” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Elo’s album All Over The World: The Very Best Of falls to No. 2 with 638,000, a sales slide of 93%. I was truly moved when I heard Evil Woman. This song is dynamic and dramatic. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Shine A Little Love (4:13) - awsome. Turn To Stone (3:50) a good melody. In The Diary Of Horace Wimp the music gets its power. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. The sound in Hold On Tight is really warm and Elo’s signature voice is still very much present. Livin’ Thing is a song to enjoy for years to come. Voice of Elo in Telephone Line is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. All Over The World is pretty funky and mellow. I can’t stop humming along Wild West Hero. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Ma-Ma-Ma Belle pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Xanadu (New Version) is nothing but pure genius. Excellent vocals and musical performances. So much energy, so exciting a sound.I listened to the opening track Alright and liked it a lot. Rock ‘n’ Roll Is King is the most memorable and perfect.
