nine years ago, Earth,Wind and Fire briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Boogie Wonderland”. Earth,Wind and Fire’s debut, ‘The Very Best’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album has some very good songs like Let’s Groove and Boogie Wonderland. Great R&B: Soul right here!
This track is a great song that still never gets old. So much energy, so exciting a sound.September - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Fall In Love With Me - This is a very lively song. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Serpentine Fire pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. When I listen to Got To Get You Into My Life in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. After The Love Has Gone have really caught my ear and imagination. Reasons is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. This is one hell of a track. I now have Let Me Talk as one of my personal favorites. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Only one song from The Very Best named Getaway really got me. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Thinking Of You sets the tone for the entire album. Some of the arrangements found on The Very Best are surprisingly edgy. The sound of Megamix is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
