This disc has all of the essential Dr. Dre classics. This is the first studio album from Dr. Dre since bad diagnosis in 2001. There is so much to love about Dr. Dre, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. If I may, I suggest “The Chronic (Intro)”. That one song is amazing!
Dr. Dre offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. The Day The Niggaz Took Over presents the marvelous mix of instruments on The Chronic. Nuthin’ But A “G” Thang is probably one of Dr. Dre’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Deeez Nuuuts on The Chronic is solid and easy to listen to. Dr. Dre has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. A Nigga Witta Gun is one of these floating songs. Rat - Tat - Tat - Tat is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. When listening to The $20 Sack Pyramid, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. This song may be the most meaningful. Musically High Powered is superior to other tracks in The Chronic. What sets The Doctor’s Office apart is Dr. Dre’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. A fantastic track full of wonder. Dr. Dre emotions are reflected through The Roach (The Chronic Outro). This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
