IF YOU LIKE ALL Dire Straits’S SONG GO FOR IT! Since completing 1998’s ‘Sultans of Swing’, Dire Straits fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Dire Straits’s debut, ‘Sultans of Swing: The Very Best of Dire Straits’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album is awesome.
Once Lady Writer gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Romeo and Juliet actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Dire Straits’s face. Tunnel of Love is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. A unique and uplifting song. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Sultans of Swing: The Very Best of Dire Straits is Love over Gold [Live]. All of songs on Sultans of Swing: The Very Best of Dire Straits and have something to say letting alone So Far Away. Strong, powerful vocals of Dire Straits in Money for Nothing are very impressive. The sound in Brothers in Arms is really warm and Dire Straits’s signature voice is still very much present. Walk of Life is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Calling Elvis marked the continuation of Dire Straits in style evolution. Heavy Fuel is perfect. On Every Street is worth the money. Your Latest Trick [Live] is gorgeous and different song. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right.
