Idealism is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Idealism isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. John Digester has compared writing for Digitalism’s new album to that on ‘Idealism’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. If you love Digitalism as much as I do, then Digitalism Idealism is the CD for you!
This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. I Want I Want as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Idealistic - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Digitalism In Cairo is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Pogo is a fine track on any terms. Moonlight is one of the coolest songs Digitalism has ever recorded. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Idealism is Anything New. Don’t judge Pulse on the first listening. Home Zone is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. This track is clearly meant to showcase Digitalism’s vocal abilities. I like to sing along with Jupiter Approach, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Jupiter Room is a cool, simple song by Digitalism at the top of his game. From the moment you listen to Echoes you’re hooked.
