There is so much to love about Def Leppard, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album has some very good songs like Women and Rocket. Hysteria isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Hysteria is the best essence of Def Leppard.
Rocket is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Love Bites is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Pour Some Sugar On Me is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Def Leppard released so far. Armageddon It is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Def Leppard has astounded me with this amazing track. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Run Riot - a classic song. I think Hysteria is the best song Def Leppard has ever done. When listening to Excitable, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Love and Affection is one of the best records ever.
