Forever Cool carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Forever Cool’ really is amazing. Since completing 2007’s ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside (with Martina McBride)’, Dean Martin fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is my first Dean Martin Album and i must say i am blown away.
I came to like Just In Time (with Dave Koz). This song may be the most meaningful. Please Don’t Talk About Me When I’m Gone (with Robbie Williams) is a medium tempo tune. In Who Was That Lady (with Orchestra) Dean Martin is at his best. Baby O (with Paris Bennett) is simple, dignified and effective, Dean Martin refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face (with Chris Botti) is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Ain’t That A Kick In The Head (with Kevin Spacey) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Who’s Got The Action (with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy) is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Everybody Loves Somebody (with Charles Aznavour) sets the tone for the entire album. Arrivederci Roma (with Tiziano Ferro) is a song to enjoy for years to come. King Of The Road (with Kevin Spacey) make listening to Dean Martin like being in some sort of time warp. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists.
