David Bowie Hunky Dory MP3

David Bowie Hunky Dory imageOn Hunky Dory album, David Bowie have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since completing 1972’s ‘Changes’, David Bowie fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. While no new David Bowie album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1972 tour in North America. Changes and Oh You Pretty Things is really good.

Overall a nice softer song. Eight Line Poem is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. The sound in Life On Mars is really warm and David Bowie’s signature voice is still very much present. Kooks one of the best in my collection. Quicksand as a highlight of Hunky Dory contains a ton of astounding melodies. Music and lyrics of Fill Your Heart creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Simple and heartfelt closing track Andy Warhol closes Hunky Dory on a high note. David Bowie is one of artists that allow his songs like Song For Bob Dylan to stand on their own and be heard. What sets Queen Bitch apart is David Bowie’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of David Bowie.
