Since Creedence Clearwater Revival last CD (Chronicle, Vol. 1: The 20 Greatest Hits) on Savoy Records back in 1990, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is no doubt that Creedence Clearwater Revival has talent. Since completing 1990’s ‘Bad Moon Rising’, Creedence Clearwater Revival fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. IT makes me wanna dance!
From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Fortunate Son (2:20) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Green River marked the continuation of Creedence Clearwater Revival in style evolution. I loved Have You Ever Seen The Rain? the first time I heard it. Hey Tonight is probably the highlight of the album. Song I Heard It Through The Grapevine is actually a funny song. In I Put A Spell On You the music gets its power. Lookin’ Out My Back Door one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Some of the arrangements found on Chronicle, Vol. 1: The 20 Greatest Hits are surprisingly edgy. Although Long As I Can See the Light is very melodic it is far from sad. Get Chronicle, Vol. 1: The 20 Greatest Hits and turn on Proud Mary if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Run Through The Jungle is a very catchy tune. Someday Never Comes is nothing but pure genius. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Sweet Hitch-Hiker is a song to enjoy for years to come. Travelin’ Band - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Up Around The Bend is a fine track on any terms. Who’ll Stop The Rain? which is my favorite is a truly Creedence Clearwater Revival sounding song. Down On The Corner is possibly the best song Creedence Clearwater Revival has come up.
