Chrisette Michele was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Chrisette Michele and I Am together. Lead single “Like A Dream” and “Work It Out” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. While no new Chrisette Michele album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2007 tour in North America. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Music and lyrics of Best Of Me creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Your Joy is a bit different from Chrisette Michele stereotypical stuff. Good Girl - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Be Ok feat. will.i.am (4:04) - awsome. If I Have My Way is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Mr. Radio is the first taste of the new album. Chrisette Michele allows each song to breathe and flourish. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Chrisette Michele. Love Is You is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after I Am have ended. After you’ve listened to In This For You, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Is This The Way Love Feels is a great opener for I Am. Within the first few notes of Bonus Track it’s perfectly clear that Chrisette Michele is living this song.
