On the Thailand charts, superstar Chris Cornell’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. It has been sixteen years Chris Cornell’ last studio CD, “Unplugged in Sweden” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Since Chris Cornell last CD (Unplugged in Sweden) on Savoy Records back in 2006, I have felt a massive void in my life. I Love Unplugged in Sweden from start to finish!
Within the first few notes of Like a Stone it’s perfectly clear that Chris Cornell is living this song. Wide Awake is a gorgeous sing-along. Album opener Fell on Black Days (Soundgarden) is a bright, upbeat ditty. The sound in Be Yourself is really warm and Chris Cornell’s signature voice is still very much present. Billie Jean (Michael Jackson Cover) gives good insight into the truths. Listening to Original Fire you can hear that Chris Cornell has still amazing chemistry with band members. Redemption Song (Bob Marley Cover) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Peace Love And Understanding (Elvis Costello Cover) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Charming song, great melody. Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden) still maintains something of a specific flourish. Call Me a Dog (Temple of the Dog) is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Some call Thank You (Led Zeppelin Cover) from Unplugged in Sweden as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
