It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Bruce Springsteen energies, virtually a rebirth. There is so much to love about Bruce Springsteen, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since Bruce Springsteen last CD (The River (Special Edition) (CD 1)) on Blue Note Records back in 1980, I have felt a massive void in my life. If you love Bruce Springsteen as much as I do, then Bruce Springsteen The River (Special Edition) (CD 1) is the CD for you!
Sherry Darling is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The River (Special Edition) (CD 1). I believe Jackson Cage is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The River (Special Edition) (CD 1) is Two Hearts. Independence Day is worth the money. A fantastic track full of wonder. Bruce Springsteen is hitting on all cylinders in Out In The Street. Crush On You stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch) is the albums biggest surprise. I Wanna Marry You makes a person feel amazing. The River - a classic song.
