5th Gear carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is the first studio album from Brad Paisley since bad diagnosis in 2007. There were many famous songs of Brad Paisley available. All I Wanted Was A Car and Ticks is really good.
The sound of Ticks is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Online is another favourite of mine. Letter To Me is the funkiest number on the album. One listen to the sheer beauty of I’m Still A Guy was all I needed. I like the idea behind Some Mistakes. I now have It Did as one of my personal favorites. As always, Brad Paisley’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. If Love Was A Plane defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Once Oh Love Featuring Carrie Underwood gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. This song is dynamic and dramatic. With You, Without You is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Brad Paisley released so far. Previously is probably the highlight of the album. A unique and uplifting song. I like the agression and power of When We All Get To Heaven. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Brad Paisley. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on 5th Gear.
