This album has some very good songs like Rivers Of Babylon and Daddy Cool. There is so much to love about Boney M, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Gold. 20 Super Hits isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
I love the melodic melody of Daddy Cool and to this day it makes me feel good. Boney M sings Sunny in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. The song feels complete. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Ma Baker is the funkiest number on the album. Hooray! Hooray! It’s A Holi-Holiday - For me, this is the best of the album. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Gold. 20 Super Hits. Belfast - arguably the best track on Gold. 20 Super Hits album. No Woman No Cry is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Mary’s Boy Child/Oh My Lord has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Boney M’s strong vocals come to the fore. Gotta Go Home (2:33) a good melody. Still I’m Sad is a striking and quite long song. Nightflight To Venus - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Felicidad is one of these floating songs. In El Lute the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Baby Do You Wanna Bump gets you up and jumping. It’s such an underrated song. The song Happy Song ending is my favorite… so catchy! Mega Mix - Rivers Of Babylon/Daddy Cool/Ma Baker/Rasputin is one of the more up-tempo songs on Gold. 20 Super Hits.
