Special Occasion isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After seeing Turn the Page, I had to have a good Bobby Valentino cd. This disc has all of the essential Bobby Valentino classics. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
How ‘Bout It is one of the more up-tempo songs on Special Occasion. Voice of Bobby Valentino in If I Had My Way is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. What sets Rearview (Ridin’) (Feat. Ludacris) apart is Bobby Valentino’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Lyrics of Special Occasion (Interlude) are precise and evocative. Checkin’ for Me is a medium tempo tune. Anonymous - Timbaland, Bobby Valentino great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.No Bobby Valentino song has come close to capturing my attention as Intro did. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Bobby Valentino sings his heart out in Let Him Go. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. I loved Can’t Wait ‘Til Later the first time I heard it. I Was Wrong presents the marvelous mix of instruments on Special Occasion. Soon as I Get Home defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. The song feels complete. Right There (Thank You) the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe.
