The Best of Bob Dylan isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. When you buy a Bob Dylan album, you know exactly what you’re getting! On The Best of Bob Dylan album, Bob Dylan have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. If I may, I suggest “All Along The Watchtower”. That one song is amazing!
Blowin’ In The Wind is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. One listen to the sheer beauty of Everything Is Broken was all I needed. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Gotta Serve Somebody - For me, this is the best of the album. I Shall Be Released is one of these floating songs. This track is clearly meant to showcase Bob Dylan’s vocal abilities. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Just Like A Woman is a striking and quite long song. Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door is another strong production from Bob Dylan. A unique and uplifting song. Like A Rolling Stone had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Mr. Tambourine Man - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Oh, Sister is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Voice and instruments in Shelter From The Storm complement each other. Tangled Up In Blue to me is the best you can get from Bob Dylan. The Times They Are A-Changin’ is a very catchy tune.
