Beastie Boys’s debut, ‘The Mix Up’, does not fit easily into one genre. The Mix Up is an amazing album, racked with beauty.For older fans The Mix Up will put a massive smile accross your face. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Beastie Boys allows each song to breathe and flourish. Although Gala Event is very melodic it is far from sad. I hope to keep hearing Beastie Boys works for a long time to come. Freaky Hijiki has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. After you’ve listened to Off the Grid, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Rat Cage is the albums biggest surprise. Melee rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Dramastically Different - I just love it. Cousin of Death - arguably the best track on The Mix Up album. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Kangaroo Rat.
