When you buy a Atreyu album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Since completing 2007’s ‘Doomsday’, Atreyu fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Atreyu’s album Lead Sails Paper Anchor falls to No. 2 with 720,000, a sales slide of 60%. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Atreyu ever.
You can find feelings on this piece of art. Falling Down is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. When Two Are One is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Lose It, which shows, blatantly, how much Atreyu has evolved as a singer. No One Cares is a striking and quite long song. Can’t Happen Here which is my favorite is a truly Atreyu sounding song. Slow Burn is one of these floating songs. I can’t stop humming along Blow. Lead Sails (And a Paper Anchor) - Atreyu first major hit. bonus is probably the most interesting track on Lead Sails Paper Anchor.
