This album has some very good songs like In Between 2 States and Hurricane. ‘Beyond The Neighborhood’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Beyond The Neighborhood is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Beyond The Neighborhood is the best essence of Athlete.
In Hurricane it becomes nowhere more obvious that Athlete has yet to define own style. Tokyo is a good listen every once in a while. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. The Outsiders is a song to enjoy for years to come. Flying Over Bus Stops is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Athlete is one of artists that allow his songs like Second Hand Stores to stand on their own and be heard. In The Library is really the reason why I recommend buying Beyond The Neighborhood. In Airport Disco the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. From the moment you listen to Best Not To Think About It you’re hooked. 09.05 Speyside - arguably the best track on Beyond The Neighborhood album. This Is What I Sound Like is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
