This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Aly and AJ has. Insomniatic isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. On the Luxembourg charts, superstar Aly and AJ’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. I wish that “Insomniatic” album was instrumental.
This song is dynamic and dramatic. Flattery - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Once If I Could Have You Back gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Blush is a fine track on any terms. This track is clearly meant to showcase Aly and AJ’s vocal abilities. Insomniatic - To me, this is the best song on the Insomniatic. Like Whoa is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Like It or Leave It. Once you hear [CD-Rom Track], you will listen to it over and over. Closure - Okay, I just talked about depth. Bullseye is a striking and quite long song. As always, Aly and AJ’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again.
